What season are you in?

"Train a child up in the way they should go,

and even when they are old they will not depart from it."

Proverbs 22:6 "There are two times when parenting is the most difficult. When the baby first arrives at home, and when the adult first leaves home." - Jennifer Quinn Where Are You in Life? Change is ever present in the life of MD5 men. Some fathers will soon be sending their graduating seniors off to college. Other MD5 men have welcomed newborns into their lives. Some men are enjoying their grandparent years. While others await the arrival of their first grandchild. Planning & Intentionality The training process is starting for some, while others are beginning to experience the results of their training. Emotions are peaked on both ends of the spectrum. Some men are wondering “did I teach them enough”? While other men are wondering “how do I start the training”? Our children are a huge part of our Life Plan. Planning and intentionality are important whether they are entering or exiting our homes. An Intentional Plan is Needed The teachings of the world are counter to everything we discuss in MD5. There has never been a more important time to have an intentional plan for the development of our children and grandchildren. The news is full of examples each day where young people have no semblance of life training. In some of the most tragic cases, there was no father present and living a life based on Christian principles was never a thought.

  • Know what is being introduced into your child’s mind.

  • Keep a close eye on social media and friend groups.

  • Keep your children in front of people that set Christian examples.

  • Look for fruits of the spirit in your children.

  • Keep your children connected with family.

  • Be in the life of your children and be present.
