Here is a simple equation

"Therefore encourage one another and build each other up,

just as in fact you are doing."

I Thessalonians 5:11

A Simple Behavior Equation

In 1936, psychologist Kurt Lewin wrote a simple equation that makes a powerful statement: Behavior is a function of the Person in their Environment, or B=f (P,E).

Why is This Important?

The equation is very fitting to our daily walk. I’ve heard so many men say how easy it is to be the man they are called to be in the MD5 environment. It gets much more difficult once we exit the MD5 meeting room. The best way to sustain the behaviors we desire is to keep our environment similar to the MD5 room. The habits and routines we desire are much easier in the right environment.

Answer These Questions & Act

Making the choice to be around the right people, is making the choice to put yourself in the right environment. Are you continually surrounding yourself with the right people, thoughts, and actions?

Do you have an accountability partner?

When was the last time you reviewed your Life Plan?

When was the last time you showed interest in a MD5 brother?

“You’re the average of the five people you spend the most time with.” - Jim Rohn
