Body Stewardship

We learned in MD5 that when we take care of the bodies and minds that God gave us, we actually honor God through body stewardship. So, proper nutrition and proper care is how we steward the gift of health. After all, God's spirit dwells in us so we should honor Him by taking care of it.

Don’t Lose Focus

During the past 6 months life has become more difficult. Scheduling does not look like it once did, the concern of a virus has kept us inside, and the list of changes could go on for days.

Everyone has been affected in one way or another. When looking at our schedules and the change in pace, perhaps it has been easy to lose focus on our physical fitness and the important role that it plays in our overall health.

Here’s the Problem

Most gyms were closed for a period of time and even when they reopened this may not be where you want to spend your free time - around dudes that are sweating, grunting, breathing heavy and constantly wiping their face!

Problem Solved

Since we have covered the potential problem at hand with your local gym, I have an idea that can double for fitness and family time –take the family outside for a hike! This is social distancing at its best.

It is fall in Arkansas which is one of the most beautiful times to be outside. The leaves are changing, temperatures are falling, and we have a host of state parks in our area that are amazing!

Take Action

The weather for this weekend looks fantastic. I encourage everyone to get outside and enjoy God’s creation! Spend some quiet time reflecting on how beautiful the outdoors are that He has created for us to use and enjoy.

If you haven’t seen a sunrise or sunset from Pinnacle mountain you are missing out!
