Is this true in your life?

“Some friends play at friendship,

but a true friend sticks closer than one’s nearest kin.”

Proverbs 18:24

True Friends

  1. Strengthen your walk with the Lord.

  2. Help you be the best version of you.

  3. Encourage you when you are down.

  4. Speak truth in love even when difficult.

  5. Pray for you.

  6. Are thoughtful, intentional, and seek to serve.

  7. Are loyal.

  8. Are quick to forgive offenses.

  9. Are not “transactional” but “self-forgetful” expecting nothing in return.

The Best Investment

Like anything worthwhile, being a true friend requires an investment. You must invest time, effort, and energy. True friendships may even require sacrifice.

Yet, when we consider the example of our model—Jesus Christ—people were his only investment.
